About Us

Who We Are

Metro Medical Credit Union was founded in 1965 by the employees of the Dallas County Hospital System, now known as Parkland Health & Hospital System.  Today, at 56 years of dedicated service, Metro Medical serves approximately 7,000 members in two convenient locations and holds over $88 million in assets.

MMCU is a full-service financial institution offering competitive financial services to the employees and their families of over 50 medical organizations across the DFW metroplex. The many years since our establishment have been rich with history and changes for the credit union and with the continued support of the board, the staff, and the members, MMCU will continue to be a strong presence in the community.

The Credit Union Difference

Like all credit unions, Metro Medical Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. When you join the credit union, you become a shareholder – or an owner – of a very unique financial institution. Earnings above the required reserves are returned to you, in the form of lower interest rates on loans and competitive dividends on savings.

We are owned and operated by our members. We exist solely for the purpose of serving our members' best interests.

Today Metro Medical Credit Union serves over 48 Select Employee Groups.

To join the credit union, complete a membership application and make an opening deposit of at least $25.00 to your share savings account. Once you join, you and your IMMEDIATE FAMILY members who join have a lifetime membership, even if you change jobs or move.
