Checking Accounts
In recent months, you may have noticed that the big, national financial institutions are slowly becoming less "free" and more "fee" with their checking accounts. Many of those financial institutions are now imposing monthly service fees or minimum balance requirements. At MMCU, we don't!
Our checking accounts come with no monthly fees or minimum balance requirements as well as many of the other products and features you want.

Text Alert Fraud Monitoring
With Metro Medical fraud monitoring, keeping your debit card safe is as easy as sending a text.
Our text alert service allows you to instantly keep tabs on suspicious card activity.
HOW IT WORKS: With text fraud alerts, if our system detects suspicious activity on your card, you’ll receive a text message with details about the suspected transaction. All you have to do is respond to the text to confirm the transaction.
If you indicate the transaction is fraud, you’ll receive another message with a number to call for follow-up. If not, you’re all set, you may continue to use your card. The system will mark the transaction as legitimate and you can get on with your day – simple as that.
GETTING STARTED: If we have your mobile phone number on file, you don’t have to do anything. It’s really that easy. If there is suspicious activity, we’ll send a text alert right away.
If you need to verify or update your mobile phone number or for more information, call 214-630-0611.
Direct Deposit
You can arrange to have your payroll, Social Security, pension or any other recurring check deposited directly into your Metro Medical Credit Union checking or savings account. By doing so, you can eliminate the possibility of losing your check and avoid the need to stand in line to cash or deposit it.
Please contact us or view the FAQs page if you have any questions about direct deposit.
Payroll Deduction
When you establish payroll deduction at Metro Medical Credit Union, money is automatically deducted from your paycheck and deposited in your savings or checking account or used to make loan payments. It's an easy way to save or to ensure that you'll never miss a loan payment.
Please contact us for more information on payroll deduction.
*A Paper Statement Fee is assessed to members per statement cycle; ages 18 and over with aggregate deposit balances less than $50,000.00. eStatements are FREE. View our current Fee Schedule.
Overdraft Protection
It can be easy to lose track of spending and make an occasional budget oversight. But, it’s also easy to “back-up” your checking account by linking it to your MMCU savings account. If you write a check, authorize a payment or use your debit card to make a purchase when there are not enough funds in your checking account, funds will be transferred from your savings account to your checking account to cover the amount.
Please contact us if you have any questions about overdraft protection.
