What you’ll need
In order to verify your identity, have ready a digital copy of the following documents:
Your government-issued ID (i.e. State issued Driver's License/ID, or Passport)
Your Social Security card or a photo ID badge (if you are a hospital worker part of our Select Employee Group)
Proof of physical address may be required if the address on your government-issued ID is not current. A PO Box is not a valid form of a physical address. If the physical address does not match the government-issued ID, then Proof of Residency is required such as; a lease contract, utility bill (water, gas, and electricity), insurance card, etc.
Funding your account
Share Savings is the minimum required account for membership at Metro Medical Credit Union.
Your new account will not be opened until your minimum deposit of $25 is received.
For security, our New Accounts Representative will contact you by phone to provide electronic funding instructions. A link will be emailed to you and will expire after a short period of time. If we are unable to reach you, an email will be sent as a notification that your account is ready to be funded.* Please provide the best time for you to be contacted by phone or give us a call via the phone number provided during our normal business hours on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
*Your new account opening will be canceled if funding is not made after 30 days.
